Welcome to the Free hosted Smap server for Not for Profit Organisations and individuals

Smap has been supporting data collection since 2008 and we have a very good reputation for support and reliability. If the past experience of users of the system are anything to go by then you can rely on this Smap Server and be confident that your data will be safe and accessible. However we cannot predict the future and the following terms are to protect us from unforseen events or the actions of an organisation using the services

Smap Data Collection Server

This server collects, stores, processes, analysis and transmits data submitted by users (The "services").

These are free services. We make no guarantees about the reliability or continuity of the services. We reserve the right to restrict or delete your account and data, at any time without notice. We will not be liable for any losses, either direct or indirect, that such service interruption or data loss may cause you. You may use the service at your own risk.

Terms of Service

The servers *.smap.com.au, including sg.smap.com.au are operated by Smap Consulting PTY LTD. Please read these terms and conditions (the 'Terms') carefully. If you do not agree with the Terms, you must cease usage of any of these servers immediately.

Subscription to the Services

In order to access the Services you must register in order to become a "Member"

Eligible Members

The services from this website are made available free of charge to "not for profit" organisations, individuals and communities. They are also available for use on any public health projects by any organisation.

They are not to be used by commercial organisations except when working on projects for the public good. If you want to use the services as a commercial organisation then you should contact Smap Consulting for a service plan. If you are an individual in a commercial organisation and you wish to trial these services for your organisation then you are welcome to create a free account here for the purpose solely of the trial.

Your Content

You own your content that you upload to this server. This includes form definitions, and data collected using those forms.

If you close your account we will make reasonable attempts to delete all of that content. The content will however remain in backups for up to 100 days.

Smap Consulting will only view your content for the purpose of resolving software issues and checking compliance with the Terms. Your content will not be shared deliberately with any other individual or organisation.

Unlawful and other unauthorized uses

You may only use the Services for any lawful purposes. Your use of the Services must comply with local rules regarding online conduct and acceptable content.

You may not use the Services in any manner that could overload the Services or interfere with any other party's use of the Services.

You may not engage in :

  1. Disseminating or storing obscene, defamatory, abusive, malicious or offensive material or material that infringes intellectual property rights;
  2. Identity impersonation;
  3. Violating human rights or civil liberties;
  4. Transmitting viruses, trojan horses, or any other malicious code or program; or
  5. Engaging in any other activity which Smap Consulting deems to be in conflict with the spirit or intent of these Terms.

Organisation names

Smap Consulting may at any time change the organisation name that identifies your organisation on the server. We may do this if we believe another organisation has a stronger right to use the name.

Account Termination

Smap Consulting may at any time, terminate the service with you if:

  1. you have breached any provision of the Terms or intend to breach any provision;
  2. You are not an eligible member;
  3. Smap Consulting is required to do so by law;
  4. the provision of the Services to you by Smap Consulting is, in the opinion of Smap Consulting, no longer commercially viable.
  5. Subject to local applicable laws, Smap Consulting reserves the right to discontinue or cancel your membership at any time and may suspend or deny, in its sole discretion, your access to all or any portion of the Application or the Services without notice if you breach any provision of the Terms or any applicable law or if your conduct impacts Smap's name or reputation or violates the rights of those of another party

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Smap Consulting and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, partners, and employees from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of:

  1. Your use of the Services;
  2. Your violation of these Terms;
  3. Your end users use of the Services in or through an application or service you provide;
  4. Content you or your end users submit, post to, extracts from, or transmit through the Services.
